Renewing or extending a tourist visa

Visas of all kinds, including tourist visa, can be extended twice for thirty days on renewal without exiting the country.

With the fee of 600 AED, tourists can get second renewal of the visa before the expiry of the first one.

And if you don’t get your visa renewed, you will have to pay AED 100 as a penalty for each day of overstay after the 10 days of visa expired.

Though the new rule passed for an extension doesn’t include these categories:

•    Visitors and tourists that are residents of GCC countries

•    Those residents that are accompanying GCC nationals

•    Those people that have special entry permits

•    And also those that are granted a 96-hour permit for specific missions
